We have the privilege, as Americans, to cast our vote for the person we believe will do the best job, for ALL Americans, and for the country itself, in leading the nation during this time of extreme unrest and danger to American interests around the globe.
We also have the responsibility, as Americans, to inform ourselves regarding the issues, and each candidate's position on those issues, so that we may cast an informed vote in the 2008 Presidential Election.
As the primaries begin, we are adding a news feed to keep you updated on the latest election news:

Please share your stories and opinions in our election discussion. We reserve the right to edit for clarity and/or length.

Let both the politicians and the American public know how "the troops" really feel. Please read the DoD guidelines referenced above before making your post.
We think it's time for them to hear it "straight from the horse's mouth."
Please give us your rank, branch of service, and whether you are currently in-country in the war on terror or are a veteran of OIF or OEF. You may include your name if you like, but it is not necessary to list more than your rate/rank, branch of service, and where you are serving (i.e., HM3, USN, forward deployed in Iraq).
Senator Joe Lieberman urges non-partisanship and explains why this election is so critical, and why we must vote as Americans, not Republicans, Democrats, or Independents.
Is Barack Wright? Do you feel Rev. Wright's fiery sermons, with their controversial subject matter, have a place in the election debate? Tell us what you think.
We've not had a chance to check its claims for authenticity, but we found this interesting commentary on Obama's extended family, including a number of photos. We advise you to conduct your own check for authenticity of these assertions.
