2008 US Military Pay Charts



The Military Pay Charts for 2008 are available through the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) website.

If we tried to reproduce these charts, the print would be so tiny, you'd think it was an eye test! In addition, because there are so many variables in the amount of pay and allowances, we are simply including links here for you.

Active Duty Pay

On January 28, President Bush signed into law the $696 billion defense authorization bill, which grants a 3.5% pay raise, retroactive to January 1, 2008.

BAH rates.
Overseas Housing Allowance.
COLA - CONUS.
COLA - Overseas.
Per diem rates - CONUS.
Per diem rates - OCONUS, Overseas & Foreign.
Dislocation Allowance - DLA.
Mileage rates - POV.

Retired Pay

Retirees and those receiving Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) annuities began seeing a cost of living adjustment (COLA) representing a 2.3% increase effective December 1, 2007.

Prior Years Pay

If you need a copy of pay tables for earlier years for some reason, they are available from DFAS also.
