Happy Thanksgiving
by: Marcos

Hi, my name is Marcos.

I'm sending you this message to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and hope you have a great time with your family and with your friends. Although some of them are not gonna be with you, I'm sure they are gonna think about you a lot and they are praying for you.

Although I don't celebrate Thanksgiving in my country, I know all about Thanksgiving and a little bit of the history. I come from Venezuela and I never new about Thanksgiving until I moved to Portugal, and they taught me about about what you do in this time of the year.

This year in Thanksgiving we made a little party in the classroom with the teacher Gabriel. He is a very nice person and we all had to bring something so we could share with each other all the things we brought. Although there was no turkey, we shared and felt like we were doing something that represented Thanksgiving.

I'm gonna be praying for you and wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving.

Have a Good Thanksgiving!
by: Elisabetb Briseno

First of all, I would like to say that I'm very surprised (in a good way) of what Thanksgiving really means to you Americans.

I can't believe how much strength you have and how much you want to help others and can honestly say that you guys have the best Job in the world but also the most risky one. You guys should be very proud of yourselves and Your family too!

Even if I'm not American I'm proud of you too. I wish you the best things in Your life and don't ever get frustrated, even when you feel so lonely.

Remember we all got Your backs no matter what. Have a happy life and keep up the good work! Stay healthy, eat good, feel blessed because You're super heroes for Your family and for a lot of people.

Happy Thanksgiving Guys!
by: Caro, Mexico

Hi guys! I wanted to tell you that all the world is so proud of you! Because you have been far from your family for a lot of time and even dealing with that, you are still with your heads up.

A lot of people, including me, admire your braveness. And we all know that all these things include not being with the people you love or living moments with them, and sometimes you can feel sad or alone, but we want you to know, that you will always have us supporting you, because you are our heroes.

For this Thanksgiving that is coming in so little time, we want to thank you for all the love that you have shown to your country and all the sacrifices you have made. You are risking your lives for us! FOR UNITED STATES! You are a role model for us! And for everyone.

We hope you have a great Thanksgiving with your partners and you will see, so soon you will be with your family, and they will give you a lot of hugs and kisses.

Remember -- You're Fighting For Freedom
by: Francisco Aceves, Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico

Dear soldiers of the United States,

You have worked very hard to save many people. Your bravery is appreciated, don't worry about that.

Remember that you are fighting for freedom, to be at peace with everyone in their environment. We know it can be very hard for you to be fighting when you could be staying with your family having a good time of love and affection.

It's hard to be alone and thinking that at any moment they may die or lose his family or loved ones. Do you want to be happy with your family? Well.. You should, so be stronger and patient.

Sometimes you need a little hope to stand, it is very difficult to have faith and once you lose it, it is very difficult to regain it.

Just keep your mind clear and uncluttered of any bad or sad thought. I wish you a happy Thanksgiving dinner, and good luck, dear soldiers of the United States.

We all want you to enjoy a good day of Thanksgiving and you who have given more for many bad things.

God Will Bless You
by: Marintia, Carmen City, Mexico

Ciudad del Carmen, Camp. 20/11/13

Troops:

Good morning troops, I'm glad to say that Thanksgiving is coming and I decided to write you a letter because you as everyone in this world, deserve one.

I wish our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and Coasties a blessed day, and a safe journey home to their loved ones.

Also, I wish you to be happy and feel proud of you, 'cause not everyone has the courage to do what you do.

It must be so hard to leave your home, 'cause no one knows what is going to happen to you or to your family. I can't imagine what your parents felt when you leave, it is just amazing and incredible, but you are doing something really good and brave not only for yourself, it is for all your country.

I am sure that wherever you are, no matter what age you have, or your name or where you come from, I bet that God will bless you.

And I have to say that last year, in the Thanksgiving, I was alone, with no family, no friends, no people, and I know what it feels to be alone in a day when everyone has someone to be with. It is so sad and depressive, but you are alive and that's what matters, so don't feel bad.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your partners. You are special and you deserve the best and I'm sure your parents and your loved ones think the same and are praying for you. Have a nice day.

Marintia

To All Soldiers
by: Fernanda Yanez

First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to all of you. We really appreciate so much what you do for us, for this country, for OUR country.

We are so grateful to have you all. You are like angels to us, we can't see you often, but we know you are always there to protect us.

I don't think there are enough words to say how thankful we are for all you people do, even if it means having to leave home and your family to do it. I must think it's really difficult.

I have been there once just for a year, I had to leave my home and my family to do what I wanted to. Of course it's not like you guys - I mean, I'm sure you love to do what you do but, all you do has a reflection on other people's life and that's just really amazing; we are so proud of you, and we definitely look at all of you as true role models.

I know it's hard, like I said, but we trust you, we always do. You can do anything.

Keep on going and enjoy this holiday with your friends and have a nice dinner.

Blessings to all, and don't worry - your family is safe, thanks to you.

Thank You, from Gabriel's Class
by: Alexis, Mexico

Our English language teacher, Gabriel Aquino Cruz, told us to thank you and send a letter to you for all the work you do that keeps you far from your loved ones in such a special season for you as Thanksgiving is.

I hope you have a good time in this day and have a nice holiday in war where you make a big effort to survive every day. You should keep that way. You are a inspiration to a lot of kids in the US to become part of the army and fight for their country and their president.

Maybe it is better to go back home and be with your families because of the loneliness you will live in war and the fact that war damages a lot of people physically and even more people sentimentally with kids who are left as orphans because of the decade of their parents in war.

World is a family and we should respect the ideas from the people who live with us even when we don't agree with this ideas, it is about tradition you don't know their ideas and intentions so you should respect that.

Think better about war and have a nice holiday. You are the pride of your country.

Greetings from your neighbors from Mexico,
Gabriel Aquino Cruz's class group 1010 in Gipsy High School.

Making the World a Better Place
by: Viktor Gipsy, Mexico

First of all, I would like to thank the people who protect the ones that cannot protect themselves. The people who do this are the greatest of them all, because without them the world appears like a place with no heroes.

Heroes come in many shapes and forms but those who protect people because they believe in their cause are the best kind.

Personally, every day I try to make the world a better place with my small but meaningful actions. I know that not many people notice what I do or my intentions on doing so but that really doesn't matter to me, because I know that if I keep trying the others will realize that we truly can make a better world one by one and finally do it as a collective force to really make a difference and change the way most of the people see this world.

I guess that I'm trying to say that your actions certainly don't go unnoticed, and I know for sure if everyone rises and makes a step forward we can strive forward from the world that we live in and eliminate the ones that poison the world with their evil and selfish actions. I don't know if everyone in the army is there with the good and nice intentions that I'm talking about, but for those who are, don't give up, one day you will make a difference and stand out from all by your good actions.

So thank you to the ones that truly want to make a better world.

Sincerely,
A Concerned Citizen

I Love You So Much
by: Anonymous, Mexico

First of all, I appreciate the fact that you're sacrificing your holiday time to serve your country.

I'm from Mexico by the way, but I still feel really inspired by your work and dedication just for the best of reasons. I wish you the best times aboard, things are great here and I like to think it's because of your work and dedication. Thanks to all of you!

I really am getting repetitive but words can't express how thankful I am, all this work, safety and all for free? I sure as h*ck I'm thankful! I wonder how it feels to be in the army, I'm too much of a chicken to list for it but I surely respect every one that's in it.

I deeply wish you the best Thanksgiving that there could be, I don't really know what you're doing right now but I wish you have the best that you can have.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
