Rumors that Barack Obama is Muslim have been around for a year.
Obama's father and stepfather were Muslim. Barack attended a Muslim school in Indonesia for two years.
Obama denies being Muslim. He is a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. That is scary enough, for its commitment to AFRICA, not America. If this man's allegiance is to Africa, then let him run for President there, but NOT here!
I am not an expert on Islam, but I will take exception to two of the writer's points.
One: A Muslim cannot "make friends" with Christians or Jews. I have traveled to the Middle East on several occasions, specifically to Abu Dhabi, one of the United Arab Emirates. My husband has traveled there many times, on company business. He has seen Muslims and Christians and Jews who are friends. The company has a local agent who is Muslim, and both my husband and I would call him our friend. We believe he would call us his friends. My husband has been a guest in his home. We have met his wife and one of his daughters. We've had lunch and/or dinner with them many times, and these were "friendly" dinners, not exclusively business dinners.
Two: Muslim men are "instructed to marry four women."
I asked our Muslim friend about the "four wives" thing, and he explained that not all Muslim men have more than one wife. He explained that one must have a good reason to take another wife -- for example, if the first wife becomes ill or is unable to bear children, those would be reasons to take another wife. He also explained that if a man does have more than one wife, he must treat them equally -- if he builds a house for one, he must build an equally nice house for each one. He laughed with our American friend who jokingly said, "Who could handle more than one wife?"
(In a separate conversation, this man's wife winked and told me she was making sure she spent all his money so that he couldn't afford another wife! I'm not sure she was joking.)
You've seen Michelle Obama on the campaign trail. Do you think Obama would even consider striking that woman?
If Obama is not Muslim, then the writer's statements do not apply to him.
It has been reported in other sources, that in the world of Islam, if your father is a Muslim, you are automatically a Muslim. There is no other choice.
If that is the case, it makes a very interesting point. Although Obama denies that he is Muslim, other Muslims will see him as Muslim because his father was Muslim. In Islam, there is no such thing as converting to Christianity.
So, even though Obama denies that he is Muslim, other Muslims will see him as Muslim. If the American people elect him as President, they will claim that we have elected a Muslim, and they will claim victory.
Then there's this . . . "The Muslims have said they will destroy us from within."
