There is no way you can know how it feels to shoot another person until you have actually done it.
There is a book entitled "Stolen Valor"
by B. G. Burkett and Glenna Whitley that will show you just how wrong and stupid you were to make that statement in Esquire characterizing the veterans, specifically the VietNam Veterans in the manner you did.
None of the men who served with me in Nam fit that description.
Perhaps you were looking in a mirror.
